I'm Lively

Hi there!

Welcome to my refreshed living-room!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 2O3A8832-Livingroom-683x1024.jpg

When I say my style is collected and my goal is to be sustainably minded, it really means that I’m not a great business person when it comes to “being an influencer” because I don’t always have a million items to link for you.

What I truly hope to do, is inspire you to experiment with mixing and matching old and new furniture and accessories, and maybe give you some ideas on how to update your current items by adding legs, or covers, decor or paint!

It honestly feels so good to love rooms in your home because they are worn in a bit and familiar, and when they hold family heirlooms or vintage treasures, even better. Also, the landfill says thanks too, they’re all getting pretty full.

But now, allow me to share all the details I can on this space.

Paint:

Not too much has changed in this space in the last 5 years. When we moved in we painted.

I chose Sherwin Williams Creamy for the majority of the walls, and then a custom colour (that I mixed from paint myself and had colour matched) which is a stone grey with a strong green undertone.

The trim is Ben Moore Oxford White.

I’m still so happy with these colours that I have no desire to mess with them, they feel like home to me, and they lend so nicely to all the decor changes I make seasonally.

Furniture:

My sofa is the Kinsey from Structube but I switched the legs to these more traditional ones.

The coffee table is vintage from Facebook Marketplace. It was $50!

The matching chairs are Ikea Stocksund armchairs, and they have been dressed in new green Bemz slipcovers

TIP: I have purchased so many Ikea pieces on marketplace, just by searching and setting alerts for the actual product names. Ikea furniture is often slip covered, making it easy to buy them for a steal and just get a new cover. It’s a must try tip!

The velvet ottoman is a homesense find where I also replaced the mcm tapered legs it had with these.

The single chair by the fireplace is a steal of a deal from wayfair with incredible quality and so comfy!

The goose leg side table is a marketplace find.

Decor:

The rug is Chris Loves Julia x Loloi Polly Handmade Ivory/Natural.

The matching double sided throw blankets are Laura Ashley from homesense (recently!) and there were others there!

The ruffled edge cushions on the chairs are Loloi , Chris Loves Julia x Loloi Reversible Dinah Pillows.

Other throw pillows are from homesense.

The cute cordless lamp is this one. I think I was to buy a few more, such a deal and a glass shade!

The chess board is marble hand carved and vintage, it’s from my childhood and I learned how to play chess on it. You can find these on marketplace frequently!

The books are almost all thrifted, along with all my wall art, and the plants are all real.

I’d love to answer any questions if you DM me on Instagram!
